Procedures

  • Veneers — Installment of thin pieces of durable shaped porcelain that are custom made to fit your tooth to enhance your smile. We bond the porcelain to the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.
  • Bonding — Application of a tooth-colored resin material to your teeth, and then hardening it with a special curing light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to your tooth. It is the least expensive of cosmetic dental procedures and can be an option to repair decayed teeth, repair chipped or cracked teeth, improve the appearance of discolored teeth, close spaces between teeth, and more.
  • Whitening — A procedure otherwise known as bleaching to make the teeth whiter. We offer LaserWhite*20 In-Office Whitening System, which is performed entirely in the office, in under one hour  and Venus White Pro Take-Home Whitening System which you do in the convenience of your own home for a period of about two weeks.
  • Crowns & Bridges — Procedures to restore/cover a tooth that is missing or broken. Crowns are full coverage restorations that are used to cover a tooth that is likely to break, or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. Arvada Dental Center can restore a tooth with a crown in just one appointment thanks to our Cerec CAD/CAM technology. Bridges are formed to look like the missing tooth, and is an option for filling the space created by a missing tooth.
  • Inlays & Onlays — We bond tooth restorations that are fabricated by our Cerec CAD/CAM and customized to the shape and color of your tooth. They are bonded to your tooth and are very strong and durable restorations. An onlay goes over the cusp of your tooth, and an inlay is smaller and stays within the cusp. Inlays and onlays increase the strength of a tooth by up to 75 percent.
  • Dentures — We make a removable dental appliance replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. We can create complete dentures (when all teeth are missing) or partial dentures (when some natural teeth remain).
  • Root Canal Therapy — Also known as endodontic treatment, in this procedure the dentist makes an opening in the crown of the tooth and cleans the pulp from the pulp chamber and root canals and to shape the space for filling. The dentist fills the root canals with a material, and ultimately places a crown or other restoration on the tooth to protect and restore it to full function.
  • Nightguards & Mouthguards — We custom-mold individually designed mouthguards to be worn during sports and other activities and nightguards to be worn at night to help align the jaw and prevent teeth grinding and wear.
  • Invisalign — We install a custom-made series of aligners created for your mouth. The aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth, which gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even notice you’re straightening your teeth.
  • Periodontal Therapy & Surgery — Periodontal therapy is often accomplished through non-surgical periodontal treatment, including scaling and root planing (a careful cleaning of the root surfaces to remove plaque and tartar from deep periodontal pockets and to smooth the tooth root to remove bacterial toxins). Sometimes, there is also a need for adjunctive therapy, such as local delivery antimicrobials and host modulation. Periodontal surgery is a minor surgical procedure generally done in the dental office with a local anesthetic. It involves folding the gum back away from the tooth just enough so that a dentist can see the tooth root surfaces and remove the deep bacterial deposits crusted on the tooth.
  • Cerec/Same Day — The latest technology in tooth restoration, our dentists can utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) to quickly and accurately create ceramic tooth restorations. We employ a medical-grade computer and camera to take a digital picture of a prepared tooth, and the computer converts the digital picture to a three dimensional CAD model of the prepped tooth. Using the digital model of the tooth restoration, the CAM can mill a perfect ceramic tooth while you wait. Our dentists can fit your new ceramic restoration to your prepped tooth in a matter of minutes.
  • Implants — A procedure in which the dentist implants artificial tooth replacements to counter tooth loss. Like tooth roots, dental implants are secured in the jawbone and aren’t visible once surgically placed. They are used to secure crowns, bridgework or dentures by a variety of means. Dental implants have the highest success rate of any implanted surgical device.
